Art from 2024 – Landscapes
This is one of many collections of art from 2024, a collection of pieces with a focus on architecture. I have a habit of mainly drawing my favorite subject matter – people, and I often find myself needing to refresh my skills. Though it isn’t always as fun to start on, I find a lot of architectural or scenic pieces end up being some of my favorite once they’re finished. Of course, many of these pieces do still focus on a central figure rather than the scene itself. I’m only human. 😀 Enjoy!
Also note, some of these pieces are from much earlier in 2024, and others much later. You can really see the difference how much even a year of practice can make.
I tried a different style with this one than I usually do. I prefer working with strong lineart (call it a weakness if you must but I like LINES). For this piece, I tried a different approach and blocked in shapes and values rather than relying on lines. It turned out allright, but to me it is missing something :D.
